It look like it was a bad format on use stick. Oh, I think you mean partitions not petitions.Let me apologize for my slow response, so busy. Oh, I think you mean partitions not petitions. Bios settings seems reasonable to me too. However, my next guess would have been one of your guesses, just a bad download that so try the checksum or download again. I forget which distro it was for certain (I'm thinking Fedora) but the symptoms you describe happened to me on one of those bad image writes. I'm just saying every other ISO to USB utility I've used in Linux has failed me at least once but Mint's never has failed. Of course that is if the image writer is the issue. I usually use the format utility just below it first just to make sure I am writing to a clean stick. Select the LIVE Gparted ISO and which USB to write it to. There is an app that comes with all Mint versions called USB Image Writer. maybe my download checksums were not matching, or the Bios UEFI setting were not correct, boot order worked fine.
The on-board gparted is fine for what you used it for, but I need a live boot-able version to use outside the environment for working with HD petitioning. Yes maybe its Yumi that could be the problem.
The only time I used Gparted live (a few weeks ago) I just downloaded the ISO and used Mint's own USB image writer (in the start menu) to make it. Faust wrote:It's possible that using YUMI could be a root of your problem.
